Best Tires for Kyosho FW05

Postby ribbler » Fri Apr 23, 2010 1:12 am

Hi All,

I have a Kyosho FW05 and just recently fitted an OS 18TZ (P)T engine with some other mods. I am curious to know which are the best set of foam tires to use and what size.

On a side note I have also fitted full V 1 RRR suspension.

Im also a basher but would still like to have something damn good so i can get the most out of it.

Help is greatly appreciated.

Well, considering you've put in a monster of an engine, you might find that tire choice will feel the same no matter how soft it is. If I were you, I would go as high as 37/38 shore in the rear, no harder than that. For the front, up to 40-45 like normal. You (or, at least I can) can get 30mm rear foams that are rated as 25 shore, which is pretty darn soft, but you will most likely chunk the wheels really easily.
