ACTMCRC Newsletter – April 18, 2006.

Hi Guys,

Happy Easter!

the next Off Road Race meeting is on April 25th.
the next On Road Race meeting is on May 2nd. (enduro)
the next On Road Race meeting is on May 16th.

Significant changes have been discussed and we need your input!!
The committee has discussed two significant issues facing the ACTMCRC as we believe we have arrived and a workable and fair solution but we need your feed back. We will be announcing these plans at the drivers meetings on Tuesday the 25th, May the 2nd and May the 16th. This is going to be a major change and will effect how you race, which is why we are not announcing this in the Newsletter or on the Forum.
This is not anything bad, the club is not in any type of trouble we just want to avoid any type of confusion and ensure that when we announce this, you have the chance to ask questions directly of us and give us your feed back. Even is you are not planning on racing, it would be great if you can make it to a drivers meeting on one of the three above nights.

Club Meeting
The ACTMCRC Committee got together on Tuesday to discuss a number is issues for the club. Here’s a quick run down on what is happening:
Drivers Stands. Mark is going to contact an engineering firm by April the 28th to initiate the design and construction of new Driver’s stands to the ACTMCRC.
ACT Titles were discussed and we have started planning and assigning tasks to various committee members, as well as the purchases of some minor assets to improve the general flow of the meeting.
The club will host an open practice session between track setup and the start of Offroad racing on Tuesday the 25th.

2006 Enduro
The first Enduro for 2006 is scheduled for the 2nd of May. This promises to be a real test of man and machine as this time were only allowing 1 car per team. Get your entries in soon. Don’t forget that there will also be a number of 10 minute races for Stock, Mini and 540. We will also accept entries for the enduro on the night.
With three teams confirmed and a number of others rumored to be entering in the next few weeks, be sure to get your entry in to guarantee your teams place.

Interclub round Two. Tempe.
We’ve given all the other clubs a head start, now it’s time to show ‘em what were made off. Round two will be held at the Sydney Model Autosports Track in Sydney (<>). If you’re thinking about going, contact Mark at racing. Entry forms and rules can be found under the ‘Forms’ link here:

Mini’s at MECA.
There is a push to introduce the Mini class to the MECA series in Sydney. The next MECA meeting is on the 2nd of July. To get the class stood up, the organizers want to know how many drivers would like to run their Mini’s at MECA. Visit ... 1775#31775

Practice night Thursday May the 11th.
This has been confirmed.
There will be no racing, just you the track and time to play with the setup of your car. Some of the gun drivers in the club will be on hand to help those who would like to extract more performance from their cars. We need a minimum number of people attending before we can confirm, so if you want to go, please let Mark know. It will cost you $10 for members and $15 for non-members.

Offroad Trophies will be awarded at the meeting on April the 25th. OnRoad will be awarded at the meeting on the 16th of May. Both Presentations will take place during the drivers meeting.
