Hi guys,
Next Setup will be held on Sunday May 27th from 4:00pm in the Mallee building. If you turn up you get $5 off racing.
The next round for the Touring Classes is on May 15th in the Mallee Building. This will be a fun night. There will be pack up after racing. If you stay around and help you get $5 off racing.
The next round for the Clubman Classes is on May 29th in the Mallee Building. This will be round 1 of the Winter series
The first round of the Winter series for Touring classes will be on June 19.
The 2.4 Hour Enduro will be on June 5th In the Budawang Building.

MEMBERSHIPS
If you have not renewed your ACTMCRC membership you will no longer be eligible to receive the discounted membership racing fees.

You can renew your membership by completing the Membership Form found on the website http://www.actmcrc.org.au/membership.htm and paying your fee (either in cash to Dan at the Canteen OR via direct bank transfer (details on the Form):

$45 for full members $25 for Concession and Full-Time students $60 for a family

The next membership year ends on 31 March 2008. If paying via Direct Deposit, please email Dan at Treasurer@ACTMCRC.org.au and tell him that you are paying via direct deposit.

Also for Family memberships a new rule has passed where the first racer pays full price then if your Son / Daughter / Partner races they only pay $5 for each class.

New Rules for ACTMCRC Classes

New Class 540 Intermediate (Touring Nights)
Description This class is intended for drivers who are who are too quick for Novice but need to continue to develop their race craft.
Car Type Any 4WD Touring Car
Motor Mabuchi/Johnson 540 (Silver/Grey can only)
Min. Weight 1525g (4WD) including timing equipment
Wheels and Tyres: Max 65mm diameter, no traction additive agents are to be used
A driver may be asked to change to a different class at the Race Director’s discretion

Changed Tamiya M-Chassis (Clubman Nights)
Description This class is designed specifically for Tamiya's front wheel drive M-series of cars, e.g. mini
Car Type Tamiya M-01, M-02 & M-03
Motor Mabuchi/Johnson 540
Min. Weight 1300g (2WD) including timing equipment
Modifications Oil Filled Shocks, Stabiliser Bars and Ball Bearings only.
Wheels & Tyres Rubber Mini Wheels and Tyres only, no traction additive agents are to be used.

Changed Formula 1 (Clubman Nights)
Description This class is designed specifically for Tamiya's 4WD F1,
Car Type Tamiya F201
Motors 540 Chrome
Min. Weight 1300g
Wheels & Tyres Rubber Formula 1 style tyres only, no traction additive agents are to be used.

New Class GT190 (Clubman Nights)
Description 190mm 2WD Pan Cars such as the Tamiya F-103GT.
Motor Any motor as described at rule 7.7 Motor Specifications
Min. Weight: 1225g including timing equipment
Modifications No protruding or unfinished parts
Wheels & Tyres Max 65mm diameter, no traction additive agents are to be used


50 Lap Races
At the upcoming fun night there is going to be 50 lap mini enduro’s for 540 touring cars (May 15). Normal classes will be run for those not wanting to compete in the mini enduro’s. These races will require a battery change made by the driver in the middle of the race.

The Mini Enduro was a lot of fun, with quick pitstops by all. Well don’t to Stephen Cheung who won the event closely followed by Plucka and Rodger in third place.

2.4 Hour Enduro
On June 5 there will be a 2.4 hour race being held. Details can be found here: http://www.actmcrc.org.au/2007_2point4Hour.htm.
10 Teams MAX, first in best channel choice
Max 4 drivers per team
Each team to have 3 cars. 1x 540 Powered, 1x Stock Powered, 1x 19 or 23t powered.
Get your entries in now to avoid disappointment.
