Racing July 10 2007
As this is the last race meeting before the Titles, we are going to allow all cars to be run, this will be good practice for those competitors in the titles, it will allow you to get some track time and work on your cars gearing and setup.

ACTMCRC Indoor State Titles – July 14th and 15th
2007 ACT Titles are less than two weeks away.

The 5th running of the ACT Indoor titles are less than 2 weeks away. When the ACTMCRC devised the Indoor Titles in 2003 we gave the meeting a decidedly ACTMCRC flavour with the inclusion of a number of ACTMCRC classes such as Mini, F1 and 540 Pro. The idea behind this is that while were encouraging RC Racers from all over the country to enter, the meeting will be run for the members of the ACTMCRC.

ACTMCRC members always feature in the A finals for all the classes we run at the titles, for example, Kaleb Baldwin took top Junior in the 540 class in 2006 while Mil Rogic finished in the A finals of the 540 class.

Were working hard to make the 2007 titles the best ever. If you are up for the challenge, want to have a great time, see some of the best racing likely to happen this year and improve you racing at club level then you should enter the titles. For you $30 entry fee you will have at least 6 races over the Saturday and the Sunday with the track being open all day Friday, Saturday morning and late into the Saturday evening after Saturday qualifying finishes.

Club racers who enter the titles, even if they don’t so all that well, always seem to improve their performances at in Club racing. I'm not sure why this happens but I suspect it's because they are exposed to different drivers, see different ways of doing this etc… If your concerned that you may get in the way of other drivers don't be. I'll be attempting to 'seed' the qualifying groups to ensure that everyone gets a clean run. If you want to have a run but are unsure as to what class to run in, come and see me, I'll be more than happy to give you some advice.

So ladies and gentlemen, in the words of the Iron Chef 'The Heat Will Be On!' in building M on the weekend of July 14/15. I hope to see you there!

Details can be found here: http://www.actmcrc.org.au/2007_Titles.htm
Entries can be completed here: http://www.actmcrc.org.au/2007_TitlesEntryForm.htm or on July 10th at the
Clubman Night.

Rule Change for the ACT Titles:
540 Touring Car is no longer a hand out class. Competitors will need to supply there own 540 motors in accordance with the ACTMCRC Rules. Entry to this class no longer attracts a $15 surcharge.

Track Setup – Next Occurring Monday 9 July
Pack up – Unfortunately due to some incorrect information we have to pack the track up this weekend. It will be occurring on Sunday afternoon from 4:30pm. Everyone who attends will receive $5 off at the next race meeting.

One of the most important things the club does outside of racing is run Track Setup's. Normally held on a Sunday Afternoon or a Monday Evening before a race meeting. Track setup nights came about as a more convenient way to put together the clubs track to allow more racing and practice at actual meetings.
We don't need to run a setup for every race meeting, over the years the ACTMCRC has been racing at EPIC we have been permitted to leave our track setup most of the time, unfortunately we are still required to dismantle the track from time to time.
It's important that we don't grow complaisant and adopt the attitude that 'some one else will do it'. If you can make it out to a setup (or help when we have to pack the track up) this is a massive help to the regular attendees to these events.
To encourage attendance to the setup nights (and to help packup) the club is now offering $5 off your race fees if you help out at either two of these events. If you help out at both you get $5 off the next two times you race.
What is really helpful at about going to the setup nights is that once the track is setup you can practice. The track is pretty much available until the committee member who holds the keys wants to leave.
I know not everyone can make it to setup or help pack up after racing, but if you are available one in awhile to help out then the whole club will benefit.
