BRCCC Enduro 17th of December

Postby Fisico » Mon Dec 01, 2008 4:11 pm

Thought i would start this thread to get some interest happening.
Brccc are having an enduro on the 17th of december as a kind of fun night thing. It will be a 2 hour enduro with each driver doing a min of 30 mins on track, i believe.

I will be joining Ritchie and Craig but not sure on 4th driver yet, ill leave it to them
Not sure on Team colours yet but im hoping we all agree on blue coz we all know blue is better.

Post any team body shell pics that you have.

we entered a team last night, the "Redbacks" hence our bodies will be red as everyone knows RED is faster than all other colors :)

Oscar - 540
Bruce - 540 Pro
Trev - Mini
Me - Stock

whats the thought on batteries? i dunno if i'll need 2 or 3 5000mah lipo's for the 13.5t i guess we need to gear down a bit so things don't cook as well. Looking forward to it.

Chris...

I reckon you will get away with 2 packs for 13.5. I know i get about 15-20mins run time with an 8.5.

Im hoping 1 pack will get me through in novice

We managed to scrape together a team last night (named "the Wannabees') filling the 10th and last spot. Colour as yet undecided but it will be loud in some shade of fluoro.

The all star team consists of:

Randal - 540
Nathan - 540 Pro
Chris - stock
Me (Steve) - mini

Are James Bond-esque gadgets (eg wheel spikes, rams, oil slicks and missile launchers etc) allowed to be fitted to the cars in the enduro race of attrition?

Our team is ready to go aside from a name or colour scheme!

Novice - (the sucker formally known as) Troy

Tamiya F103 - GET ON BOARD PEOPLE!!

a really great night, had a ball! Congrats to the winners, the awesome bodies were backed by top notch driving.

here's some stats from our battery use:

540 - made it easy on a 5000 lipo (used 3600mah)
540 pro - almost made it on a 5000, wasn't dead but was slowing (changed at 24mins), the motor was a ummmm HOT too, but not as hot as some, lol
mini - used 2 x 4200 nimh packs (change at 17mins)
stock - 2 x 5000 lipo, car was only just slower at 15mins (changed at 15mins)

Can't wait for the next one...
